SNELLA Scholarships

SNELLA is offering a scholarship to the AALL Annual Meeting, which will be in Boston from July 21-24, 2012.  Information on the conference is available from AALL’s Conference site <http://www.aallnet.org/conference>.  If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please fill complete SNELLA_Scholarship_Form_AALLmeeting by April 15th to allow enough time for the scholarship committee to review.   The amount of the scholarship to workshops will be at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Treasurer of the Association. Those amounts awarded may vary, reflecting the registration fee, location, and length of the meeting. No award shall exceed $500.00.  At this time, please direct questions about the scholarship application to Camilla Tubbs.

SNELLA is also offering two scholarships for institutes and/or SNELLA sponsored or co-sponsored programs using a separate form:  SNELLA_Scholarship_Form_nonAALL.  As with the AALL conference, the amounts awarded may vary, reflecting the registration fee, location, and length of the meeting – but no award shall exceed $500.00. Under extenuating circumstances one institute scholarship award may be applied to a second AALL award in any given year.  There are two conferences coming up in Connecticut that may be of interest:

The Connecticut Library Association Annual Conference will be taking place on Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa in Groton, CT.  Conference details and registration is available here: http://www.ctlibraryassociation.org/content.php?page=CLA2012

SNELLA is co-sponsoring the Hartford Bar Association’s inPractice Conference, which will take place on May 3, 2012 at the Hartford Hilton Hotel.  Special registration details for SNELLA members are soon to follow – But you can view the conference schedule here: http://inpracticect.com/

If you are interested in applying for a non-AALL Meeting scholarship, please fill complete the attached form by April 15th to allow enough time for the scholarship committee to review.  At this time, please direct questions about the scholarship application to Camilla Tubbs.
